Make your way to Special Tours ticket office located on Geirsgata 11, 101 Reykjavík for check-in. We recommend being at the check-in 30 minutes prior to departure.

What to expect
Enjoy the comfort of a warm, well-equipped boat on this 2–3 hour Northern Lights hunt from Reykjavík's Old Harbour. In just 15–20 minutes we leave the city lights behind and reach Faxaflói bay, perfect for watching the Aurora dance across the clear night sky above the mountains and coastline.
Stay cozy on deck in our free overalls (kids' sizes included) while your guide shares the science, stories and folklore behind the Northern Lights from cultures around the world. If you need to warm up, head inside to the café/bar or settle in to watch our own original Northern Lights video that is full of facts.
Don't want to fumble with camera settings in the dark? Don't worry — one of our crew is always taking photos throughout the night, so you can relax and enjoy the show, then check our Daily Diary afterwards for the shots.
If the Northern Lights don't appear on your sail, you'll receive a free ticket to join us again on the next available night — valid indefinitely, so it's there for you even on a future trip to Iceland.
Please remember that this tour is highly dependent on correct weather conditions.
