What's Included
Meeting and pickup
At the Reception or Airpot with the pageboard with their name on it.
What to expect
*1. Early meet-up at the Lodge ∼4:00-5:00am*
- *Tea & coffee served* at the lodge while you wait.
- *Transfer to launch site* to watch the balloon inflation. The crew inflates the envelope with fans + burner – big photo moment.
*2. The Flight ∼1 hour in the air*
- *Climb into the basket*: It’s a standing
- *Sunrise drift over Cradle of Humankind/Magaliesberg*. You’ll float 500-3000ft up with zero engine noise.
- *Wildlife spotting*: Pilots point out animals and views as you go. The route covers game reserves in the 53,000-hectare Cradle area – you can often spot 4 of the Big 5 from above, plus plains game, rivers, hills.
*3. Landing Celebration ∼15 mins*
- *Sparkling wine toast + orange juice* to celebrate a safe flight – it’s tradition.
*4. Back at Kloofzicht Lodge ∼30-45 mins*
- *Transfer back to the lodge
