Choose 3 or 4 hours. With 3 hours, focus on the peace sites or add Hiroshima Castle or Shukkeien Garden. With 4 hours, explore more city highlights or deeper historical sites, including Hiroshima’s recovery and medical response after the bombing.

The Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building miraculously retains its original appearance as it is located almost directly below the hypocenter. It symbolically represents the tragedy of war. Seeing it in person might change something about you.
Right above this Shima hospital, the atomic bomb exploded. Imagine what it must have been like to stand there.
See the Samurai castle built in the 16th century, although it is a replica because it was destroyed by A-Bomb. Normally, only photo stop from the outside, but if you wish, you can enter the museum inside (optional). There is a history of Hiroshima and the castle, armor and Japanese swords.
One of the oldest Japanese gardens. The beautiful garden with its pond, trees, and undulations was created in 1620 and belonged to a Samurai who settled the area. Its peaceful and natural scenery will make you feel the good old Japanese culture!
