Pickup is available from hotels located in Cusco’s historic center. For hotels outside the downtown area or accommodations located on narrow or inaccessible streets, a nearby meeting point will be arranged.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel between 5:30 and 6:00 am. We will begin your journey passing through picturesque villages and Andean landscapes until reaching Ajanaco, located at 3,500 meters above sea level, the gateway to Manu National Park. From there, we will descend through winding roads surrounded by the breathtaking cloud forest, home to lush vegetation including orchids, heliconias, bromeliads, and giant ferns. Along the way, we may spot a variety of bird species such as the famous Cock-of-the-rock, umbrella bird, trogons, quetzals, and oropendolas. In the afternoon, we will arrive at your lodge where we will spend the night immersed in nature. Meals: Breakfast on the way, lunch in the cloud forest, and dinner at the lodge.
After breakfast, we will take a short walk to observe birds and monkeys in their natural habitat. Then, we will continue by vehicle for approximately one hour to Atalaya Port, where we will board a motorized boat and navigate for about 30 minutes toward your jungle lodge. During the journey, there will be time to swim in the river and enjoy a natural mud bath experience. After lunch, we will visit Machuwasi Lake and explore the area on a traditional raft. Here, we may observe hoatzins, reptiles, dwarf caimans, capybaras, tapirs, and many other fascinating wildlife species. After dinner, we will embark on an exciting night walk to discover the sounds and nocturnal life of the Amazon rainforest before returning to the lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge.
Early in the morning, we will navigate by boat to visit the parrot clay lick, where colorful parrots gather to feed on mineral rich clay along the riverbank, an unforgettable natural spectacle. Afterward, we will return to enjoy lunch and relax before exploring the surrounding rainforest. During your walk, we will discover a great variety of flora and fauna, including the impressive giant Ceiba tree, one of the most iconic trees of the Amazon. In the evening, we will take another night walk to observe insects, amphibians, and possibly snakes in their natural environment before spending the night at the lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge.
After breakfast, we will return by boat to Atalaya and continue your journey back to Cusco by private transportation. Along the way, we will enjoy beautiful landscapes filled with hummingbirds, orchids, waterfalls, and stunning views of the cloud forest. Arrival in Cusco is expected between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Meals: Breakfast at the lodge and lunch in the cloud forest.
