Your guide will select the most promising direction and lead the group away from Yellowknife’s city lights toward darker viewing locations along the Ingraham Trail. Depending on conditions, we may travel for up to an hour before reaching our first viewing spot. Once there, you will have time to step outside, adjust to the darkness, take photographs, and wait beneath the northern sky. Warm drinks, light snacks, and blankets are available to help keep you comfortable. Aurora hunting requires patience and flexibility. If clouds move in or another location offers better visibility, we may change viewing spots during the night. Your guide will monitor conditions and communicate with other local aurora watchers to help identify the clearest skies. With a maximum of five women travelling in a spacious Jeep Wagoneer, the experience remains personal, comfortable, and unhurried. Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed, but every decision is made to give the group the best opportunity.
