You fish Lake Biwa, home of the world record largemouth bass, with people who compete on this lake and know the latest techniques that work here.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Pickup is available from hotels in Kyoto city. Please tell us your hotel name when you book. We will confirm your pickup time the day before your trip.
Take the JR Kosei Line from Kyoto Station to Katata Station (22 minutes, no transfers). Your guide will be waiting outside the ticket gate holding a sign with your name. You can reach us on WhatsApp at any time.
What to expect
Your guide knows the lake's seasonal patterns and the latest techniques that work on Lake Biwa's pressured bass, and picks the spots and lures that give you the best chance that day.
We offer two types of guide. Our English-speaking guide guides fully in English. Our staff guides speak basic English on the boat and use a translation app when needed. All booking communication is in English.
The trip is fully private, so only your group is on the boat. Beginners are welcome. Your guide sets up everything and chooses the easiest way to catch fish that day. Experienced anglers can focus on trophy bass or tournament techniques.
Lake Biwa is close to Kyoto. Take the JR Kosei Line from Kyoto Station to Katata Station in 22 minutes with no transfers, or choose the option with hotel pickup in Kyoto.
All rods, reels, lures and life jackets are included.
