Your journey begins early in the morning with a departure from Cairo and a westward drive towards the Bahariya Oasis. After a 4-5 hour journey, the landscape changes dramatically, and your desert adventure officially begins with a 4x4 trip into the Black Desert.

Black Desert
After an early pick-up from Cairo, you'll travel towards the Bahariya Oasis, where the desert begins to appear on the horizon. Once there, your adventure begins in a 4x4 vehicle directly into the Black Desert, a stunning expanse of land covered in dark volcanic rock. At Mount Marsus, you'll ascend a perfectly shaped hill to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views that will transport you to another world, far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life in Egypt.

Midday brings you to El Haiz, a quiet Bedouin village surrounded by palm trees. Here, you’ll enjoy a home-style lunch prepared with simple, fresh ingredients before unwinding in a natural hot spring. It’s a moment to slow down, reset, and experience the oasis the way locals do.

Experience the Agap Valley and its sand dunes In the afternoon, the trail winds through the open valleys of the Agap Valley, leading to the soft, golden sand dunes. Here, you can try sandboarding or simply climb the hills to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. The tranquility here is enchanting; the only sound is the wind caressing the endless dunes.

As the sun sets, you arrive at the New White Desert, one of Egypt's most enchanting landscapes. Wind-carved chalk formations appear in unexpected shapes, from animals to abstract sculptures. As the sun sets, the colors shift across the New White Desert before fading into a starry sky. Spend your evening camping in the desert: a freshly prepared barbecue dinner, stories told around the campfire, and a peaceful night in your tent.

Desert Sunrise & Return to Cairo

Sunrise, Breakfast & Journey Back Wake up early to catch sunrise spilling light across the White Desert—it’s quiet, soft, and completely different from the night before. After a light breakfast in the open air, you’ll drive back to Bahariya Oasis, where your private vehicle will be waiting. From there, you’ll return to Cairo, arriving later in the day with a camera full of unreal landscapes and a real sense of escape from the city.
