We are a local Finnish family business, the guides grew up riding these forests, and out here there is usually no one else in sight. This is a ride for adults, and it goes deep into the backcountry. From the base twenty minutes north of Rovaniemi we head into snowy forest, frozen lakes and open hills, on narrower trails with gentle climbs and an active pace. The group stays small, usually four to six snowmobiles. We time the tour for the Arctic afternoon light, when the low sun turns the whole short winter day into a long sunset in soft blues, pinks and oranges.

Pickup from central Rovaniemi is included, but it must be selected when booking. Pickup is 30 minutes before the tour starts. If you are driving to us, come straight to our base in Sinettä at tour start time. We have free parking on site.

Itinerary

  • Sinetta (Pass by)

    Sinettä is a village twenty minutes north of Rovaniemi, where the city trails end and the backcountry begins. Our base sits here, and the whole tour takes place in the forest, frozen lakes and open hills around it. You ride narrower forest trails, gentle climbs and open sections across the lakes, with a guide riding alongside the group. We stop for hot drinks and photos where the afternoon light is at its best.
