Osaka: Make Your Tin Sake Cup (Sake Tasting Included)

When you arrive, you’ll put on a samue, the traditional clothing worn by Japanese craftsmen, and start by learning about the history and culture behind Suzu metalworking.

With the help of our friendly English-speaking host, you’ll create your own tin sake cup using traditional hand-hammering techniques. You’ll learn how to use authentic tools, shape the metal yourself, and enjoy the feeling of creating something with your own hands.

As part of the experience, you’ll also enjoy a sake tasting (you must be 20 y.o. or older for this part) and discover the connection between sake and the cup you create. In Japan, sake is often said to taste best when served in a tin cup, as the material can bring out a smooth texture and unique flavor.
