Nine stops carry you from the colourful streets of Getsemani, through the Torre del Reloj gateway and Plaza de los Coches, past the Santuario de San Pedro Claver and the Palacio de la Inquisicion, on to Plaza de Santo Domingo, the ramparts of Las Murallas and the vaults of Las Boveda. At each stop a short audio story plays while you stand in front of the place it describes, and a quiz turns the history into something you take part in.
The route covers roughly 2 km and takes about an hour, but the pace is yours: pause for a coffee, linger on the walls at sunset, pick it back up whenever you like.

Start your self-guided tour at the entrance of Plaza de la Trinidad in Getsemani. Open your Ciceru experience nearby and follow the route on your smartphone.
The tour ends near Las Bovedas. Take a moment to enjoy the area before finishing your walk.

Getsemani Neighborhood (Pass by)
Your starting point. Getsemani is the walled city's colourful outer quarter, full of low colonial houses, street art and small plazas. An audio story introduces the neighbourhood and the tour ahead, followed by a short quiz.

Torre del Reloj (Pass by)
The yellow clock tower that forms the main gate into the walled city. The audio explains how the gate worked and what stood on either side of it, followed by a quiz before you walk through.

Plaza De Los Coches (Pass by)
The arcaded square just inside the clock-tower gate, and the city's historic entrance point. The audio covers both what the square is today and its use as Cartagena's slave market during the colonial period.

Sanctuary of Saint Peter Claver (Pass by)
The stone church and former Jesuit monastery where Pedro Claver, who spent his life ministering to enslaved Africans arriving in Cartagena, lived and is buried. Audio story and quiz from the square outside.
