What to expect

Welcome to mon cadeau, a boutique kintsugi studio a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Crossing.

Your experience begins with a warm welcome featuring freshly prepared matcha and seasonal Japanese sweets, offering a moment to relax and reset before your workshop.

Next, discover the art of kintsugi, the Japanese philosophy of embracing imperfections by repairing broken ceramics with golden seams. Guided by an experienced instructor, you'll learn techniques of modern kintsugi while creating your own ceramic piece to take home as a meaningful souvenir. You will also take home the basic skills to continue your kintsugi journey at home.

To complete the experience, enjoy a guided tasting of three carefully selected Japanese sakes, each chosen to showcase different regional style and flavor so you can learn the basics of sake while experiencing another important aspect of Japanese culture in a relaxed atmosphere.

This experience is perfect for travelers looking for a small-group cultural activity that combines authenticity, Japanese aesthetic and omotenashi (hospitality).
