What makes this experience special is that it is a completely private tour designed to be enjoyed without hurry. Unlike other tours with too many stops and limited times, this tour visits few carefully selected places so you can live each experience more authentically, relaxed and comfortable.

The adventure begins in Hierve el Agua, where we will hike to the foot of the petrified waterfalls and then you will have free time to swim or enjoy the landscape. Later we will visit the archaeological area of Mitla with a certified guide who will explain the history and culture of Zapoteca. We will also stop to enjoy Oaxacan cuisine and finish in Teotitlán del Valle, where you will know the artisan process of making wool mats.

    We will make a quick stop for breakfast in a local dining room where we can find coffee, hot chocolate, memelitas and tacos. Then we will visit Hierve el Agua, a unique natural site with petrified waterfalls and mineral pools. They can walk among its impressive formations, enjoy panoramic views of the valley and relax in a setting surrounded by nature.

    Zona Arqueologica de Mitla

    We will visit Mitla, the second most important archaeological area of Oaxaca. They will admire its temples and palaces decorated with unique stone mosaics in Mesoamerica, reflecting Zapotec art and worldview.

    We will stop at a local restaurant to taste authentic Oaxacan cuisine. You can try traditional dishes such as mole, tlayudas and handmade tortillas, an essential part of Oaxaca culture.

    We will meet Teotitlán del Valle, a Zapotec town renowned for its textile tradition. Here craftsmen produce mats and textiles on pedal looms, using techniques handed down for generations. They will see how natural plant-based dyes and insects like cochineal are prepared, and how each design reflects the history and worldview of the community.
