What to expect
SEE HOW ANIME IS REALLY MADE
Go inside a genuine, working anime studio in central Tokyo - a professional production space normally off-limits to visitors.
MEETING & WALK TO THE VENUE (about 30 min):
Meet your English-speaking guide at Nakano Station, receive a brief introduction and tour schedule, then walk about 15 minutes together to the venue.
ORIENTATION (about 25 min):
A pro instructor explains how anime is made, including the role of key animation (genga), with a short video.
STUDIO VISIT (about 15 min):
In a small group, watch professional animators at work. Your guide explains the process in English; time permitting, you may greet the creators. No photography inside the studio.
HANDS-ON DRAWING (about 60 min):
Guided by a pro, practice drawing faces and expressions, then create your own anime/manga character. All materials provided; beginners welcome.
CLOSING (about 15 min):
Share your artwork, ask questions, and take a commemorative photo.
NAKANO BROADWAY WALK & DEPARTURE (about 30 min):
Walk with your guide to Nakano Broadway. Your guide will introduce some popular anime and manga shops before the tour ends.
