Your adventure continues at the breathtaking Bacalar Seven Color Lagoon, Mexico’s largest freshwater lagoon, famous for its crystal-clear waters and spectacular shades of blue and turquoise.
At Bacalar Lake, enjoy free time to swim, kayak, or simply relax by the water with a refreshing drink from the bar, offering a selection of international cocktails and spirits.

Meeting and pickup
Your tour will depart one hour after your cruise docks, starting from the conveniently located Plaza Las Fuentes, just outside the Port. —it's just a short, easy walk to our meeting point! Due to port restrictions, local operators like us are not permitted inside the facility.
What to expect
Spend about 1 hour and 20 minutes discovering authentic Maya culture and traditions. Learn how traditional corn tortillas are made and try making your own, discover local ingredients and family recipes, and enjoy time with your hosts as they share their customs and stories.
No family visit is complete without food! Enjoy a delicious homemade lunch prepared especially for you, featuring traditional tamales and local dishes made with fresh ingredients and Maya spices. If you love spicy food, try the habanero sauce!
After lunch, continue with a 25-minute drive to the stunning Bacalar Seven Color Lagoon for the second part of your adventure.

- To ensure you don't miss out, our tour operates rain or shine. Check the day's forecast and prepare accordingly. Bring essentials like a hat and sunscreen for sun or a light jacket and water-resistant shoes for rain.
- Alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests 21 years of age or older.
- Due to the natural terrain and access points, the lagoon portion of the tour is regrettably not wheelchair accessible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Kayak Weight Limit: 220 lbs for a single, or a maximum combined weight of 270 lbs for a double.
- Children must be 10 years old to paddle a single kayak alone. Children under 10 are welcome to kayak when accompanied by a supervising adult.
- For safety reasons, kayaking is restricted for pregnant women.
- Life vests are mandatory for all water activities and are provided free of charge for your convenience.
- Bring extra cash for minor expenses, credit cards aren't accepted outside the port area.
- We recommend biodegradable sun block lotion.
- Pack your swimsuit, a personal towel, and a change of clothes for your Bacalar adventure.
- Water activities may be restricted by local authorities due to wind, lightning, or other unsafe weather conditions.
- Late Arrivals / No-Shows: Guests who arrive late or fail to show up for their scheduled activity are not eligible for a refund.
- No port, no pay! Guaranteed full refund if your cruise ship does not call port in Costa Maya at all
- Weight limit for a single kayak is 220 pounds or 270 pounds for a double kayak
- Kayaking is not permitted for pregnant guests.
- Transportation vehicles can accommodate foldable wheelchairs only. Vehicles are not wheelchair-adapted, and non-folding wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. The Bacalar Lagoon portion is not wheelchair accessible due to the natural terrain and water access points.
- Weather: This tour operates rain or shine. Please check the forecast and dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
