Enjoy a private kimono experience in Otaru with professional dressing, hairstyling, a photo walk, and 50 photos to remember your day.
In a private dressing room, a kimono dresser with over 10 years of bridal hair and kimono experience will help you choose your kimono, dress you, and style your hair.
This experience is more than wearing a kimono.
I was born in Kyoto and grew up surrounded by kimono because my father was a Yuzen kimono artisan. I naturally came to love kimono, and I would be happy to share some of its beauty and culture with you.
Through simple explanations and photos, you will learn about kimono styles, formality, seasonal patterns, and the meanings behind traditional Japanese designs.
After dressing, we will explore Otaru's beautiful streets and take phots at seasonal locations. You will receive about 50 photos via Google Drive after the experience.
Summer Information
You will wear a yukata, a traditional summer kimono.

Please wait outside the ticket gate at JR Otaru Station. I will be waiting for you wearing a red hat.

1Otaru Museum, Bank of Japan
At a kimono salon near this building, participants will have their hair styled and be dressed in a kimono.

2The Site of Temiya Line
The Temiya Line is a former railway line and one of Hokkaido’s earliest railway routes. Today, the old tracks remain as a peaceful walking path where visitors can enjoy Otaru’s history and scenery.

3Otaru Canal
Otaru Canal is one of Otaru's most famous sightseeing spots, known for its beautiful stone warehouse and peaceful waterfront scenery. Built during the Taisho era, this historic canal has been transformed into a charming walking area where visitors can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and retro streetscapes of Otaru.

4Otaru Sakaimachi Street
Sakaimachi Street is one of Otaru's most popular sightseeing areas, known for its retro atmosphere and historic stone buildings. Along the street, visitors can find souvenir shops, sweet shops, and seafood restaurants, and enjoy strolling through the charming streets of Otaru.

- We have kimonos for both men and women. Men up to 6’11” tall and up to 187.3lbs. Women up to 5’9” tall and up to 165.3lbs.
