If you're longing to venture off beaten tourist tracks and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and culture of Lapland, a visit to our reindeer farm is the perfect experience for you! We warmly welcome you to meet our herd, learn about reindeer husbandry and discover village life in northern Finland. By keeping group sizes small, we ensure a personal experience, genuine hospitality and quality time with your loved ones.
This program is best suited for nature and outdoor enthusiasts who want to get to know reindeer husbandry and cherish genuine encounters. At our place, you can meet a whole reindeer herd in an ethical manner and experience the animals' gentle nature and behaviour.
We are accompanied by our two Lapponian herder dogs, who love making new friends and are always up for cuddles. If you are uneasy around dogs, please let us know in advance so we can keep them at home for the day.

What to expect

After a brief introduction, we set off towards the reindeer pasture and you will travel comfortably in a snowmobile-drawn sled. We will stop among hundreds of reindeer, offering you a unique opportunity for close-up and ethical encounters with the animals. Our most curious reindeer will happily eat lichen straight from your hand and there is plenty of time to get to know their calm and gentle nature.
Then we'll continue the tour and distribute the reindeer's daily pellet feed. Watching the herd run alongside the sled is truly mesmerising.
Then we gather around the campfire inside our traditional kota tent to enjoy warm berry juice along with homemade sweet and savoury delicacies and roast marshmallows. Please let us know in advance about any dietary preferences or restrictions.
As we relax by the fire, you will hear stories about the history and significance of reindeer husbandry in Lapland. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to master the use of a reindeer herder’s lasso.
If you are up for more adventures, we can continue with a walk through the forest with our young soon-to-be sled reindeer, who will happily follow you if you reward them with some lichen.
