    Kathmandu Valley 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites Tour

    After breakfast, you will begin a guided sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley while also preparing for your upcoming trekking adventure. Today’s tour includes visits to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites that showcase Nepal’s rich culture, history, and spirituality. Your first stop is Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. Located on a hilltop, this sacred Buddhist site offers panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley along with beautiful stupas, prayer flags, and traditional shrines.

    Next, you will visit Patan Durbar Square, a historic royal palace complex famous for its ancient temples, traditional Newari architecture, and the beautiful Krishna Mandir.

    The final stop of the day is Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. In the evening, meet with your trekking guide for a detailed trek briefing and final preparation for the journey ahead.

    Drive from Kathmandu to Chame

    Today marks the beginning of your Annapurna adventure as you leave Kathmandu and travel toward the beautiful Himalayan region. After an early breakfast, you will begin a scenic drive along winding mountain roads with views of rivers, terraced farms, green hills, and traditional villages. During the journey, you will follow the Trishuli River and enjoy changing landscapes as the road heads toward the western region of Nepal. After several hours of driving, you will reach Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region. From Besisahar, the journey continues on a rugged mountain road toward Chame. Along the way, you will pass through small settlements, dense forests, waterfalls, and follow the Marsyangdi River. You will also pass Dharapani, an important checkpoint for trekkers entering the Annapurna Conservation Area.     Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang

The trail follows a beautiful winding valley alongside the Marsyangdi River, offering a mix of natural beauty and traditional village life. Along the way, you will see the impressive Paungda Danda Rock Face, a massive curved cliff rising dramatically above the valley. This natural rock wall is one of the most unique sights on the entire Annapurna Circuit. As you continue trekking, you will enjoy panoramic views of surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna II and Pisang Peak in the distance. The trail gradually leads you into the Manang Valley, where the landscape becomes more open and dramatic. These villages are known for their traditional stone houses, ancient culture, and incredible mountain scenery. One of the main highlights of the day is a visit to Barge Monastery, the largest monastery in the Manang region. Here, you will experience peaceful surroundings and gain insight into the deep Buddhist culture of the Himalayas.     Acclimatization Day in Manang

    Today is an important acclimatization day in Manang, designed to help your body adjust to the higher altitude while enjoying the stunning Himalayan scenery. In the morning, you can take a short hike above Manang village to visit the beautiful Gangapurna Lake and the nearby Ice Lake viewpoint area. From here, you will enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding peaks including Annapurna III, Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, and Chulu ranges. After returning, you will have a relaxing afternoon break in Manang village. Later, you may visit the Himalayan Rescue Association center in Braga village, where you will learn about acute mountain sickness (AMS), its symptoms, prevention, and safety tips for high-altitude trekking. The rest of the day is kept free for rest, light walks, and enjoying the peaceful mountain environment while helping your body properly acclimatize.

    Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka

    Today’s journey takes you gradually higher into the alpine landscape as you leave Manang and head toward Yak Kharka. The trail begins with a gentle climb, crossing a small stream and passing through the village of Tenki before continuing uphill. As you move forward, the route leaves the Marshyangdi Valley and turns northwest into the beautiful Jarsang Khola valley. The scenery slowly changes into a more rugged alpine environment with fewer trees and more open views of the mountains. Along the way, you will pass traditional settlements such as Ghunsa village, known for its simple houses with flat mud rooftops and peaceful surroundings. The trail continues through open pastures where yaks and horses graze freely, creating a calm and scenic Himalayan atmosphere. By afternoon, you will reach Yak Kharka, a quiet high-altitude stop surrounded by wide landscapes and mountain views. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Yak Kharka.

    Trek From Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi

    Today’s trek takes you closer to one of the highest points of the journey, Thorong La Pass. From Yak Kharka, the trail begins with a gradual climb up to a ridge, offering wide views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You will then descend slightly and cross the Marsyangdi River via a wooden bridge before continuing along a narrow mountain path carved into the hillside. The trail gradually ascends again, passing through rocky terrain and alpine landscapes. As you gain altitude, the environment becomes more rugged and wild, with fewer signs of vegetation and a dramatic change from the greener valleys below. This section of the trek is quiet, remote, and surrounded by towering cliffs and mountain scenery. By late afternoon, you will reach Thorong Phedi, the base camp for crossing Thorong La Pass.     Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass

    Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek as you cross the highest point of the journey, Thorong La Pass. Early in the morning, you will begin a steep and steady climb from Thorong Phedi through cold, high-altitude terrain. As you ascend, the air becomes thinner, but you are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and distant Himalayan peaks stretching toward Tibet. After several hours of effort, you will reach the top of Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, one of the highest trekking passes in the world. From the summit, you will begin a long descent toward the sacred site of Muktinath. By afternoon, you will arrive at Muktinath Temple, a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Known as Chumig Gyatsa in Tibetan Buddhism, the temple is famous for its 108 water spouts and the eternal flame that has been burning for centuries, symbolizing spiritual purity and faith.

    Drive From Muktinath to Tatopani

    Today, you will leave the high mountains behind and begin a scenic drive from Muktinath to Tatopani. The journey takes you through the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley, descending from the dry, high-altitude landscape into greener hills and warmer surroundings. As you drive, you will enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan giants including Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri in the distance. Along the way, you will also pass traditional Tibetan-influenced villages such as Khingar and Jarkot, known for their unique architecture and cultural heritage. The route continues through charming villages including Marpha, Khokhethanti, and Ghasa. Each stop offers beautiful glimpses of local life, apple orchards, river valleys, and mountain scenery. You will cross the Kali Gandaki River and gradually ascend through traditional Thakali settlements. The trail passes through ethnic villages such as Chitre and Sikha, offering a glimpse into local mountain life. As you continue, the landscape becomes greener and more scenic, with terraced farmlands and dense forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and birch trees. Along the way, you will pass small settlements like Ghar Khola and Chitre village, enjoying peaceful surroundings and mountain views throughout the journey.     Morning Hike to Poonhill then Trek to Birethanti and Drive to Pokhara

    Early in the morning, you will hike up to the famous viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m) to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. From the top, you will enjoy stunning panoramic views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), along with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges glowing in the morning light. This is one of the most unforgettable highlights of the trek and a perfect moment for photography and memories. After enjoying sunrise, you will descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then the trek continues downhill through beautiful forest trails and villages until you reach Birethanti.

    Drive / Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu

    After a memorable journey through the Annapurna region, today you will return to Kathmandu. Following breakfast in Pokhara, you will begin a scenic drive back to the capital city, which takes approximately 6–7 hours. The route follows winding mountain roads alongside the Marsyangdi and Trishuli Rivers, offering beautiful views of hills, rivers, small towns, and rural landscapes along the way. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. In the evening, you will enjoy a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu with a cultural program, celebrating the successful completion of your trek. Optional: A 30-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu is available at an additional cost (not included in the package).
