More than a tour, this is an authentic cultural experience where you will understand the true meaning of the Day of the Dead. You will learn about the symbolism of a traditional altar, take part in its creation, decorate pan de muerto, and enjoy an evening with a typical dinner. The experience continues with a visit to local cemeteries, where you can experience this tradition in a respectful and meaningful way, close to the local community.

The tour will end with drop-off at each customer’s hotel.
You will begin in a specially prepared space with a traditional altar, where you will learn the meaning of each of its elements. You may participate by placing a photograph of a loved one, creating a personal and emotional moment of connection with the tradition. You will take part in decorating Mitla-style pan de muerto, an interactive and cultural activity. Afterwards, you will enjoy a guided mezcal tasting, where you will learn about its production process and its significance in Oaxacan culture
You will travel by vehicle to the General Cemetery, where you will experience the traditional atmosphere of the Day of the Dead. You will observe how families honor their loved ones with offerings, flowers, and candles, always from a respectful perspective.
We will visit the Xoxocotlán Cemetery, a place full of tradition and symbolism, where one of the most authentic expressions of the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca takes place. Here, you will be able to appreciate altars, candles, and family gatherings that honor departed loved ones in a unique and moving atmosphere.
The service ends with transportation back to your hotels, providing greater comfort and safety for all participants.
