What to expect
Join us for a private three-hour fishing charter on Lake Wakatipu, reserved exclusively for your group. Meet your skipper at Frankton Marina, step aboard, and head out onto one of Queenstown’s most iconic alpine lakes.
After a short safety briefing, your skipper will set up the fishing gear and explain the plan for the trip. Using downriggers, you’ll target lake-dwelling trout and salmon while learning about the fishing techniques, local conditions, and the species found in Lake Wakatipu.
The boat is equipped with an electric trolling motor, allowing for quiet, steady, and low-impact fishing. As you move across the lake, you’ll enjoy views of Cecil Peak, Walter Peak, The Remarkables, and Queenstown’s dramatic alpine scenery.
