3 Sugar Lane, Frankton, Queenstown 9300 (45°01'08.3"S 168°42'57.6"E) The boat will be ready at the jetty next to the boat ramp (between the Boatshed café and the Boatshed Bakery). Just look out for our blue Catch a Fish boat.
What to expect
Join us for a private six-hour fishing charter on Lake Wakatipu, reserved exclusively for your group. Meet your skipper at Frankton Marina, step aboard, and head out for a full fishing experience on one of Queenstown’s most iconic alpine lakes.
After a short safety briefing, your skipper will explain the plan for the day and set up the fishing gear. With more time on the water, you can explore different areas of the lake and try a range of techniques to target trout and salmon in deeper water.
Your skipper will guide you through each method, explain the local conditions, and help beginners and experienced anglers get the most from the trip. Between fishing spots, enjoy views of Walter Peak, Cecil Peak, The Remarkables, and Queenstown’s dramatic alpine scenery.
The boat is equipped with an electric trolling motor, allowing for quiet, steady, and low-impact fishing. Quality gear, expert guidance, snacks, and cold non-alcoholic drinks are included.
