What to expect
The Mahahual Reef is part of the world-famous Mesoamerican Reef. This protected marine environment is known for excellent visibility, warm tropical waters, and an incredible diversity of marine life.
During your first dive, descend into a colorful underwater landscape filled with coral formations, sponges, and tropical fish. Keep your eyes open for angelfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, trumpetfish, moray eels, and schools of snapper and grunts.
After the first dive, enjoy a surface interval on the boat or beach. Refreshments are provided as you relax and prepare for the second dive.
The second dive offers an opportunity to explore a different section of the reef. Sea turtles are frequently spotted in the area, and lucky divers may also encounter eagle rays, southern stingrays, nurse sharks, barracuda, or large schools of tropical fish.
This experience is designed for certified divers holding an Open Water certification or higher.
