Blend your own perfume with Nguyen Vinh Dieu, an award-winning Vietnamese perfumer, paint a lucky lion head with artisan Giai Huan from a family of lion dancers, or build a stained-glass paper lantern. You work in a small, relaxed group at a cozy local cafe in District 10, all materials are included, and you leave with a handmade keepsake beautifully packaged to take home.

What to expect
Perfume Making with an Award-Winning Perfumer
Learn how perfumers build a scent from top, heart and base notes, then blend your own perfume, scented candle or room spray. Your host is Vietnamese perfumer Nguyen Vinh Dieu, winner of The Avant-Garde Scent Award at Metascent's Olfactory Odyssey Awards III for her perfume Da Co, inspired by the Southern Vietnamese folk song Da Co Hoai Lang.
Lion Head Painting with a Lion Dance Artisan
Hear the stories and symbols behind Vietnamese lion dance from artisan Giai Huan, who grew up in a family of lion dancers, then paint your own lion head in lucky colors.
Stained-Glass Paper Lantern Making
Build and decorate a traditional Vietnamese paper lantern with colorful stained-glass paper.
