But this is more than just a show. After the performance, you can speak directly with the artist, ask questions, learn the stories and cultural meaning behind the art, and even try selected movements or techniques yourself.
Choose from Shamisen music, Kabuki Dance, or Rakugo storytelling, depending on the day of your visit.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The venue is on the ground floor (street level) of 3-26-11 Nihonbashi-Hamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, a 3-minute walk from Hamacho Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. Our staff will be waiting at the entrance of the venue to welcome guests upon arrival. Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts.
What to expect

Unlike a large theater performance, this intimate experience is limited to just 12 guests, allowing you to see every movement, expression, and detail from only a few steps away.
Depending on the day, enjoy Shamisen music, Kabuki Dance, or Rakugo storytelling. Each approximately 60-minute program includes a live performance, an artist talk and Q&A session, an interactive cultural activity, and a commemorative photo with the performer.
You can speak directly with professional Japanese artists, learn about the history, techniques, costumes, instruments, and stories behind each art form, and even try selected movements or performance techniques yourself.
The experience is specially designed for international visitors, so no previous knowledge of Japanese culture is required.
More than simply watching a show, Amazing Japan Lounge gives you the opportunity to meet the artist, understand the culture, and experience Japanese traditional performing arts for yourself.
