Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Begin the day with a visit to Tianmen Mountain, one of Zhangjiajie’s most famous attractions. Take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy sweeping views of the city, cliffs, valleys, and surrounding mountains. Experience the famous Glass Skywalk, a transparent walkway built along the cliffside. It provides a thrilling view down the mountain and is one of the most exciting photo stops on Tianmen Mountain. Visit Tianmen Mountain Temple, a peaceful Buddhist temple located high on the mountain. Surrounded by forest and mountain views, it offers a quieter cultural stop during the tour. Visit Tianmen Cave, also known as Heaven’s Gate. This natural hole through the mountain is one of Zhangjiajie’s most iconic landmarks. You can view the cave and the famous stairway beneath it before descending from the scenic area.
