Vintage shops, Japanese streetwear, K-fashion and giant station-side malls: Shinjuku has it all within a few walkable blocks. Akari, a Tokyo stylist with 20 years in fashion, makes it easy.
She trained in couture at ESMOD Paris, spent nearly 10 years as a buyer for Japanese fashion companies, and has styled 8,000+ people. Since 2019 she has run her own image-consulting salon in Tokyo as a certified personal color, face-type and body-type analyst, and she directs her own womenswear label. Her 400+ online styling orders in Japan hold a 5.0 rating.
After booking, a short questionnaire covers your style, sizes, budget and wish list. Akari builds a route just for you: rare vintage, Japanese brands made to last, or the latest Tokyo street looks.
At each stop she explains why a cut or fabric suits your frame, talks to store staff for you, and takes candid photos along the way. No pressure to buy. Men, women, couples and families are welcome.
We will meet at the 2F entrance of Shinjuku Flags, near the Southeast Exit of JR Shinjuku Station.
Your route is built from your pre-tour questionnaire, so no two tours are the same. A typical Shinjuku route includes: ・Vintage and resale shops Well-kept Japanese streetwear and designer archive pieces, checked by a former buyer for condition and value. ・K-fashion and trend shops Current Tokyo street looks and versatile modern pieces influenced by the K-fashion scene. ・Japanese brand concept stores Local labels known for craftsmanship and Japanese sensibility, made for everyday wear.
