Day 1
Cusco – Mollepata – Laguna Humantay – Soraypampa

Humantay Lake
Our service begins with a departure from Cusco at 5:00 am in a private transport provided by the company, heading to Mollepata, where we will stop for 40 minutes for breakfast. The journey continues by car towards Soraypampa for one more hour. Once in Soraypampa, you will meet the muleteers and horses, marking the start of the Salkantay trek. Before starting the hike, we will hand over our equipment to the muleteers. We will hike for approximately 2 hours until reaching Humantay Lake, where you will have free time to enjoy the stunning views, take photographs, and listen to the guide's explanations. The visit at the lake usually lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours, depending on the weather. After visiting the lake, the descent towards the Quiswarniyoc camp begins. We will arrive around 2:00 pm, and a delicious lunch prepared by the kitchen team will be offered. After lunch, the guide will accompany you to your respective dormitories for a well-deserved rest.

Day 2
Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Chaullay

Salkantay Trail
The day begins at 5 a.m. with a coca leaf tea known as "te despierto," served by the kitchen team to help with altitude acclimatization. We will start the day by walking to the highest point of the trek, the Salkantay Pass at 4,700 meters above sea level. Upon reaching the summit, you will have time to enjoy the stunning views, photograph the mountains, and feel the proximity to the sacred Salkantay mountain (Apu). The guide will often provide information about the area and may involve you in a local ritual to express gratitude to the Apus, the mountain gods in local beliefs. You will spend between 30 and 45 minutes at the summit. The descent begins with a 2-hour walk from the Salkantay Pass to the lunch spot at Wayracmachay. Here, the kitchen team will be waiting with a nutritious lunch. After lunch, there will be a short time to rest, weather permitting. Then, we will descend for 2.5 to 3 hours until we reach our second camp of the day.

Day 3
Collpapampa – Sahuayaco – Lucmabamba

Lucmabamba Coffee Experience
Breakfast is served around 6:00 a.m., so get ready for what's ahead. After a 4-hour hike, you will reach Lucmabamba, a region famous for its exceptional coffee. Here, you will visit a local family, who will guide you through the entire coffee cultivation process, from planting to harvesting and roasting. Lucmabamba is known for its coffee, and you will even have the opportunity to prepare and taste your own freshly brewed cup. Additionally, this area offers the exciting experience of the Salkantay zip line, which you can enjoy before or after lunch. Your guides will help organize these activities to ensure you don’t miss the chance to add some extra excitement to your adventure. Lucmabamba is the perfect combination of cultural immersion and adrenaline-filled fun, making it an unforgettable part of your journey to Machu Picchu. After lunch, you can relax or participate in optional activities available for the rest of the day, as the trek concludes after lunch.

Day 4
Llactapa – Hidroelectica – Aguas Calinetes

Mirador de Llactapata
On this day, we will hike for about 3 hours along an original Inca trail to reach the first archaeological site of this route. This part of the mountain is rich in flowers, shrubs, and high jungle vegetation. Once we reach the archaeological site of Llactapata, we will also have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu from a different mountain range. After exploring Llactapata and the guided visit, we will head towards the Hydro-electric station where we will have lunch, and then continue towards the town of Machu Picchu, where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel with private rooms, hot water showers, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. Around 7:00 p.m., we will have dinner and make the final preparations for the most important day of the tour: the visit to the sacred city of the Incas, MACHU PICCHU.

Day 5
Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Machu Picchu
After an early breakfast, we'll pick you up and take you to the bus station for a 25-minute ride to the Inca site, offering stunning views of the cloud forest along the way. Your guide will provide a comprehensive tour of the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu, which will last approximately two hours. If you have purchased tickets to Huayna Picchu ($75 each, pre-booked), you will embark on this additional hike after the guided tour. Later, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and your train to Ollantaytambo. From there, our transportation will take you back to your hotel in Cusco, where you can rest and reflect on this unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
