Danube Bend from Budapest: Szentendre, Visegrad & Esztergom

6 to 8 hours (approximately)
Offered in: German and 2 more

Explore the Hungarian countryside and discover the Danube Bend — one of Hungary’s most scenic and historic regions.

We’ll start in Szentendre, a charming riverside town known for its artistic atmosphere, cobblestone streets, and small local craft shops. From there, we continue to Visegrád Castle, a historic royal meeting place with spectacular views over the Danube and surrounding hills. Our final stop is Esztergom Basilica, the largest church in Hungary and one of the country’s most symbolic and sacred places, connected to the coronation of Hungary’s first king.

The drive itself is part of the experience, following the river through the countryside, and in summer there’s also an option to cool off with a swim in the Danube.

If you’d like, you may also have some company during the day — Ami, our friendly Bearded Collie, sometimes joins the trip

We’re flexible and happy to shape the day around your interests.
