What to expect

Leave Chiang Rai with hotel pickup and follow your local guide into the mountains on a full-day jungle trekking tour. Walk up to 12 kilometers through bamboo forest, tea plantations, and highland village areas as the scenery grows wilder with every step.

Along the way, pass areas connected to Lisu and Chinese communities before stopping for a hands-on bamboo cooking experience. With your guide’s help, place fresh ingredients into bamboo tubes and cook them over an open fire. As lunch heats inside the bamboo, smoke drifts through the forest air, turning a simple meal into a memorable forest moment.

After lunch, follow the sound of rushing water until a forest waterfall appears through the trees. Cool off in the natural pool or rest beside the cascade when conditions permit, then continue through areas connected to Akha and Lahu communities.

After 5–6 hours on foot, reach Pha Soet Hot Springs and sink into the warm mineral water. Let the heat ease your tired legs before returning to Chiang Rai with the feeling that you have not just seen the jungle, but walked, cooked, swum, and truly experienced it.
