Start your Cape Peninsula adventure in beautiful Camps Bay, where white sand, the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic Twelve Apostles create one of Cape Town’s most spectacular coastal views. Step out, stretch your legs and take in the scenery with time for photos and a short walk along the beachfront before we continue towards Hout Bay. It’s the perfect first taste of the coastline that makes this part of Cape Town so special.
Continue along the Atlantic coast to Hout Bay, a beautiful harbour village surrounded by mountains and sea. Enjoy time to explore the harbour, browse the local market, take in the views and soak up the lively atmosphere. Depending on time and conditions, you may also choose to take an optional boat trip to see the seals at Duiker Island before we continue along the spectacular Cape Peninsula coastline.
Leaving Hout Bay, we join the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, affectionately known as “Chappies”. This spectacular coastal road winds for approximately 9 km between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, with dramatic cliffs and breathtaking sea views around every bend. We’ll stop at one of the scenic viewpoints so you can step out, take in the fresh ocean air and capture some unforgettable photos before continuing towards Cape Point.
Experience the dramatic beauty of Cape Point, where rugged cliffs rise above the Atlantic Ocean and sweeping views stretch across the Cape Peninsula. Explore the scenic pathways and make your way towards the historic lighthouse viewpoint for spectacular photo opportunities. You can walk up at your own pace or take the Flying Dutchman funicular for an easier ride to the upper viewpoint. The funicular is optional and at your own cost.
Stand at the legendary Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly point of the African continent and one of the Cape Peninsula’s iconic landmarks. Surrounded by rugged coastline, crashing waves and spectacular natural scenery, this is a moment for the camera. Take time to explore the area, enjoy the views and, of course, capture your photo at the famous Cape of Good Hope sign before we continue our journey along the peninsula.
Meet one of the Cape Peninsula’s most famous residents at Boulders Beach, home to a remarkable colony of endangered African penguins. Follow the boardwalks through the protected colony and watch these charismatic little birds waddle across the sand, nest among the vegetation and swim in the sheltered waters below. With beautiful False Bay scenery as the backdrop, it’s an unforgettable wildlife experience and a wonderful finale to your Cape Peninsula day before returning to Cape Town.
Start Day 2 with an unforgettable visit to Cheetah Outreach, a conservation and education centre dedicated to protecting the African cheetah. Learn about these remarkable animals and the work being done to protect free-ranging cheetahs in Southern Africa before enjoying an included 6–8 minute Adult Cheetah Encounter, with the opportunity to meet an ambassador cheetah and capture memorable photographs. Encounters are subject to the centre’s animal welfare and availability requirements.
Discover one of the jewels of the Cape Winelands at Delaire Graff Estate, spectacularly positioned among the vineyards of the Banghoek Valley with views towards the Simonsberg mountains. Settle into the beautiful, art-filled Wine Lounge for an included Icon Wine Tasting, sampling some of Delaire Graff’s celebrated wines in an unforgettable setting. Afterwards, take time to enjoy the gardens, mountain views and impressive sculptures before continuing your Winelands journey.
Continue through the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands to Tokara, set on the slopes of the Simonsberg with sweeping views across vineyards and mountains. Settle in for an included Reserve Tasting featuring four 50 ml pours from Tokara’s Reserve Collection, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah and Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon. Take time to enjoy the spectacular setting, vineyards and mountain views as you relax into the Cape Winelands experience.
