Let's venture into the foothills of Costa Rica's most famous active volcano. Trails circle its base, each with a different view, but one of the best is from El Silencio Viewpoint an easy to-moderate trail that puts you face to face with Arenal's cone shaped peak.
Next, we head to the private La Fortuna Waterfall reserve a 70 meter drop reached via roughly 530 steps through native forest, where mountain springs feed the Fortuna River. From the viewpoint you can capture unforgettable photos, then cool off with a swim in its crystal clear waters.
Most tours end here ours doesn't. We wrap up at an authentic Costa Rican farm for a traditional lunch (vegetarian and kids' options available) while you stroll among ducks, geese, peacocks, and horses, and keep an eye out for monkeys, toucans, and sloths. No buffet lines, no crowds just a home-style meal made with love.

1Mirador El Silencio
Let's venture into the foothills of Costa Rica's most famous active volcano, where, as you walk around the site, you will have many different trail options. They all surround the base of the impressive volcano, offering you different points of view. In our opinion, one of the best views of the Arenal Volcano is from the El Silencio Viewpoint. This series of easy to moderate trails lead to a very high viewpoint. Here you will feel as if you were face to face with the cone-shaped peak of Arenal, there we can observe the variety of fauna that this wonderful site houses, especially monkeys, toucans, sloths and much more. To finish this incredible activity, you will be able to choose between the relaxing hot springs in the area and enjoy a well-deserved rest accompanied by a pleasant cocktail and, of course, a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano.

2La Fortuna Waterfall
To observe this splendid 70-meter-high waterfall, the visitor must overcome a path of approximately 530 steps, through a forest with trees native to the area, where the springs of our mountains and the waters of the Fortuna River emerge, originating in turn lush vegetation and scenic beauty. Once in front of the waterfall, you will find a large and comfortable viewpoint from which you can freeze your memories through unpublished and unique photographs, and finally you can take a refreshing swim in the crystalline waters of the Fortuna River.
