Unlike standard art classes, this workshop offers an authentic introduction to the centuries-old tradition of Turkish and İznik ceramic art. Guided by local artists, travelers not only paint their own ceramic plate or tile but also learn about traditional motifs, colors, techniques, and the production process behind handmade Turkish ceramics.
Each participant creates a unique piece of art using professional materials and takes it home the same day after a quick-drying protective finish is applied. Complimentary Turkish tea and coffee add to the welcoming atmosphere, making this a memorable cultural experience rather than just a painting class.
No previous artistic experience is required, making it suitable for travelers of all ages and skill levels.

What to expect
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by local artists and introduced to the history of Turkish ceramic and İznik tile art. During the workshop, you will learn about traditional motifs, colors, painting techniques, and the production process behind handmade Turkish ceramics.
Choose either a 25 cm ceramic plate or a 20 x 20 cm ceramic tile featuring pre-drawn traditional patterns. Your instructor will guide you step by step as you paint your own unique artwork using professional materials.
Throughout the experience, complimentary Turkish tea and coffee will be served. After completing your design, a quick-drying protective varnish will be applied so you can take your finished artwork home on the same day.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and requires no previous artistic experience.
