Explore Mardi Himal Base Camp and the traditional village of Lwang on this 5-day trek through the Annapurnas. In addition to spectacular panoramas of the Machhapuchhre, South Annapurna and Hiunchuli, this experience immerses you in Gurung culture through a night at home, home-cooked meals and discovering Lwang’s organic tea gardens. What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Your Guide will pick you up directly from the lobby of your Inn at the agreed time. Please be ready a few minutes before pick-up time to facilitate Check-out.
Upon arrival, the Guide will arrive at the reception desk or wait for you in the Inn lobby. He or she will wear a T-shirt bearing the name of the agency “Maruti Holidays”, which will allow you to easily identify him or her. If you do not find your Guide immediately, please contact the Inn Front Desk, who can help you locate it.
We recommend that you keep your phone on and accessible on the day of the excursion, in case the Guide needs to contact you regarding pickup.

After a short transfer by vehicle from Pokhara to Kande, start the trek with a gentle climb through the forest. You will pass through Australian Camp and Deurali enjoying the first spectacular views of South Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Gradual ascent through sumptuous forests to Low Camp, then opening onto Badal Danda Ridge. The trail offers 360° panoramic views of the Annapurnas Mountains before finishing the stage at High Camp

Early morning Check-out for the Himalayan Tuesday Viewpoint and Base Camp to admire the sunrise over the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna I. Back to High Camp for a Comforting Breakfast, then down to Low Camp.

Descent through dense forest through Siding. Approaching the village of Lwang, the trail passes directly through the beautiful organic tea plantations that stretch at the foot of the mountains. The day ends with an authentic homestay experience in the Gurung village of Lwang.

Peaceful morning in Lwang before a pleasant downhill hike along the Mardi Khola River to Khoramukh. Reunion with private vehicle/jeep in Khoramukh for the return trip to Pokhara.

Forest Camp in High Camp (3580 m), ascent to the clouds
