1Old Parliament Building
Guides will point out the top of the building, tracing the physical history of Sri Lanka’s sovereignty. The original British Coat of Arms was replaced in 1948 by the arms of the Dominion of Ceylon, and eventually changed again in 1972 to the current emblem of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
