Step into the quiet elegance of Tamazato Garden for a two-hour small-group experience combining Japanese culture, nature, and sound. Meet your host at the Kuromon (Black Gate), then take a short walk to Kagoshima Shrine to learn simple shrine etiquette and offer a prayer. Return to explore the historic garden before settling into its traditional teahouse for a calming sound bath with crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and tuning forks. With a maximum of 10 guests, you can enjoy a relaxed pace and plenty of time for photos. The experience begins and ends at Tamazato Garden. Transportation to the meeting point is not included.

1Tamazato House Gardens of Shimazu
Meet your host at the Kuromon (Black Gate), the main entrance to Tamazato Garden. After a brief introduction, the experience begins with a walk to Kagoshima Shrine. ※ If arriving by car, free parking is available directly across the crosswalk from the gate. Please park within the marked white spaces.

2Kagoshima Shrine
Walk with your host from Tamazato Garden to nearby Kagoshima Shrine, about five minutes away. Learn the basic etiquette for visiting a Shinto shrine, offer a prayer, and hear about the shrine’s history and local significance. After approximately 20 minutes at the shrine, you’ll return to Tamazato Garden.

3Tamazato House Gardens of Shimazu
After returning from Kagoshima Shrine, explore Tamazato Garden with your host. Enjoy a relaxed walk through the historic grounds, including the small bamboo grove and scenic photo spots. Your host will share the garden’s highlights and can also take photos for you before guiding you to the teahouse for the singing bowl experience.

4Tamazato House Gardens of Shimazu
Enter the historic teahouse with your host and learn briefly about its history and traditional setting. Settle comfortably on the tatami mats—lying down or sitting, as you prefer—while your host plays crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and tuning forks. Let the gentle vibrations and layered sounds guide you into a peaceful state of relaxation. The session ends with a few quiet moments of reflection before the experience concludes in Tamazato Garden.
