After breakfast at your luxury desert camp, set out on a 4x4 desert excursion to discover the landscapes and hidden treasures surrounding Merzouga. Your first stop is Khamlia, a traditional Gnaoua village famous for its unique musical heritage. Meet local Gnaoua musicians and enjoy a live performance of their traditional music, characterized by rhythmic drumming and hypnotic melodies, while learning more about the history and culture of the Gnaoua people. Continue deeper into the desert to meet local nomadic families who still live in traditional tents and maintain a way of life closely connected to the desert. The Lake of Merzouga
The 4x4 journey then continues through the desert to discover ancient fossil sites, where the region's rich geological history can be seen in the landscape. Depending on the season and water conditions, you may also visit Merzouga's seasonal lake, where flamingos and other migratory birds can sometimes be spotted against the backdrop of the golden dunes. After the excursion, enjoy lunch and some free time to relax at the camp or hotel. You can take a peaceful walk through the dunes, enjoy the swimming pool, or simply slow down and appreciate the silence and vastness of the Sahara. As the day comes to an end, return to your desert camp for dinner. Spend your second evening around the campfire enjoying traditional Berber music, drumming, and dancing beneath the stars. Cedar Forest
Continue your journey through the changing landscapes of southeastern Morocco, gradually leaving the desert behind as you cross towards the High Atlas Mountains. Pass through scenic mountain roads and reach Midelt, often known as the “Apple Capital of Morocco” thanks to the fruit orchards surrounding the town. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing through the impressive mountain scenery, with winding roads, rocky landscapes, and traditional villages along the way. In the afternoon, arrive at the famous Azrou Cedar Forest, one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Take a relaxing stop among the centuries-old cedar trees and keep an eye out for the playful Barbary macaques, which live in the forest. You’ll have time to observe these fascinating animals in their natural environment and take photographs before continuing towards Ifrane.

Ifrane
Continue to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” a charming mountain town known for its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, green parks, and cool mountain atmosphere. After a short stop to enjoy the town and its surroundings, continue through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, watching the landscape gradually change as you descend towards Fes.
