Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Muscat toward the historic city of Misfat Al Abriyaan, once of the old villages of Oman. Along the way, enjoy views of small mountain villages and date palm farms.
Misfat Al Abriyeen is a beautiful mountain village nestled in the Al Hajar Mountains, famous for its traditional mud-brick houses, narrow stone pathways, lush terraced gardens, and the ancient Falaj irrigation system that has sustained local farming for centuries. We will stroll through the peaceful village, admire its authentic Omani architecture, walk alongside the flowing Falaj channels, enjoy breathtaking mountain views, capture stunning photos, and experience the charm of traditional village life while learning about Oman's rich culture and heritage.
Bait Al Safah is a 400 years traditional Omani house transformed into a living museum, offering you an authentic glimpse into the country's rich heritage and daily life. Here, you can watch local women prepare traditional Omani bread, roast coffee, make halwa, weave textiles, and demonstrate centuries-old crafts using traditional methods. You can also explore the historic home, learn about Omani customs and hospitality, enjoy freshly prepared local treats, and experience the warm welcome that has been a hallmark of Omani culture for generations. We will have our lunch in the house.
Driving from Bait Al Safah to Wadi Ghul for about 15 munities and enjoying the 300 million Al Hajar Range mountains until we reach the photo stop where you can view abandoned antient village of the wadi, take nice group picture, and have explanation about the region and its people. (Photo stop)
