Unlike standard tours that hike an additional 3 miles to the highway to a shuttle vehicle that takes you back, our Medieval Chamber experience combines true canyoneering, real climbing and a secret hike out. Once you are done with the rappelling part of the adventure, you'll climb out of the canyon on rope with full support—no hiking an additional 3 miles of crowds back to a shuttle vehicle. This tour does a full circle back to your vehicles. Our tours are led by a veteran local guide, and designed to give you the most immersive and hands-on adventure in Moab.

What to expect

Just minutes from Moab, the Medieval Chamber & Morning Glory Arch adventure delivers one of the most unique and complete half-day canyon experiences in the area. The route features two incredible rappels — a dramatic 110-foot descent into the Medieval Chamber, followed by a breathtaking 130-foot free-hanging rappel through Morning Glory Arch itself.

Unlike other companies that finish by hiking clients miles down the canyon to the highway for a shuttle pickup, Canyon Country Adventures is the only company offering a true loop experience. After completing the canyon, we exit by climbing a fun and approachable 150-foot rock climb out of the canyon, turning the adventure into a full-value experience that combines real canyoneering with real climbing.

The route also includes a scenic desert approach, lush canyon vegetation fed by a natural spring, scrambling, exposure, and nonstop adventure from start to finish. This is not just a simple rappel tour — it’s a complete desert adventure designed for people who want something more memorable than the standard shuttle-based experience.

Pre-Requisites: Must be able to hike 3+ miles and scramble/hike up steep slickrock terrain.
