Point of Sale shopping and food tasting in the Loire Valley

In a friendly atmosphere, I will take you for a walk in our iconic Thursday morning Point of Sale. Meeting place of the inhabitants, I will explain all the products offered (cheese, cold cuts, breads, local seasonal products, etc...) and you will be able to buy all the products of your choice (at your expense). We will decide together on several small bites that we will prepare together in the kitchen. Before returning we will go through the famous Jacquin cheese factory to introduce you to the cheeses of our region and buy a Selles-sur-Cher PDO. My house is 150 yards from the Point of Sale Square. In the kitchen we will prepare bites that are simple to make but very attractive on the plate. We will end the morning with a tasting of the bites made and the products you have purchased as well as the discovery of our iconic goat cheese, all accompanied by a glass of local wine for a complete culinary experience.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

parking available on the town hall square of stools on expensive 50m from the meeting point. The meeting point is on the church forecourt. I'll pick you up with a sign with your name on it. The Point of Sale is on the Town Hall Square. My house is 1mn walk from the meeting point.

What to expect

Visit and shopping at the Point of Sale: you can buy all the products you choose (purchase of the products remains at your expense to allow you to buy anything you want). At the Point of Sale I could explain everything you see (cheese, cold cuts, local products, etc...) and we'll talk together about what you want to prepare. Back home, we'll come into the kitchen and together make a few bites out of the ingredients we bought at the Point of Sale. At the end of the course we can taste together the bites made and the famous cheese of the city accompanied by a glass of wine of the region offered. WATCH OUT! This activity only takes place on THURSDAY MORNING, the Point of Sale of Selles-sur-Cher takes place once a week, on Thursday.
