Le Marais, the oldest district of Paris.
Before being known for its LGBT bars, after the expulsion of Jews by Charles VI and their return after the Revolution, the neighborhood gardens were the private gardens of the many mansions.
They are still very little known but frankly deserve to be discovered and not only because they are havens of peace away from the hustle and bustle of some of the streets of the neighborhood.
We will therefore go for a walk from park to park (5 in all), from one end to the other of the Marais. A quiet walk, during which we can fully enjoy these quiet and green places.
In front of the Leica store on Boulevard Beaumarchais, next to one of the exits of the Chemin Vert metro (L8)
We will finish the walk next to the Centre Pompidou, so next to the metro station Rambuteau (L11)
Le Marais is a Parisian district with a very rich history and many private mansions are still present. We will visit public gardens which are where the private gardens of these private residences were. Because little is known, there is a lot of greenery in the Marsh.
