Private Tea Ceremony in a Master’s Home — The Art of Hospitality

4 hours 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

This is far more than simply whisking and drinking matcha. We welcome just one group at a time into the private home of a tea master who lives at the foot of Mount Fuji. In a serene, purified tearoom, you will receive omotenashi — the finest Japanese hospitality — and savor with all five senses the refined sense of beauty that Japan has cherished for generations, in a moment that comes only once (ichigo ichie).
At its heart, this experience is a quiet moment of unity: the host offers heartfelt hospitality, the guest receives it with gratitude, and a gentle warmth passes between them.
