At 2,121 meters above sea level, the Gardena Pass connects Val Gardena to Val Badia. The Dolomite pass leads from Selva to Colfosco and is nestled in a stunning mountain landscape, with the Sella Group to the south, the Cir Group to the north, the Sassolungo to the west, and the peaks of Val Badia to the east offering breathtaking views. From the terrace of the Dantercepies mountain station, you can witness the recurring spectacles of sunrise and sunset: two moments of the day when the mountains radically transform, bathing in a magical and special light. Enjoy one of the most beautiful and largest lakes in the Dolomites, surrounded by Sorapiss, Cristallo, Monte Piana, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and look for the mountain's reflection in it. Your driver will tell you the legend of King Sorapiss and his spoiled daughter Misurina. You'll have time for a short walk.
In Alta Pusteria, in the Landro Valley, lies Lake Landro (Dürrensee), whose turquoise-green waters are a delight. Accessible from Dobbiaco, it is located in the Tre Cime Nature Park and borders the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.
