This Puerto Jiménez birdwatching tour follows a quiet public road through a remarkably varied landscape of wetland, mangrove, primary forest, and open pasture habitats. Meet your guide at Restaurante Los Delfines and choose between two departures: 5:30 a.m., when morning bird activity is often strongest, or 3:30 p.m., when temperatures begin to cool and late-afternoon activity increases. The two-hour walk moves in one direction at a relaxed birding pace. Your guide uses personal binoculars to locate birds and carries a spotting scope for shared observations, especially when birds remain perched or stationary. Guests should bring their own binoculars to follow birds that move quickly between habitats. At the end of the route, included return transportation takes the group back to Restaurante Los Delfines.
