What to expect
Sanur sits along Bali’s southeastern shoreline, stretching several kilometers with shallow reefs, sandy lagoons, seagrass beds, and small coral patches. The coastline is lined with a long beachfront promenade, traditional fishing boats called jukung, and calm turquoise waters that contrast sharply with the powerful waves of areas like Uluwatu or Canggu.
Along the eastern shoreline of Sanur, the sea wakes slowly. Before the cafés begin serving coffee and before the roads fill with scooters, the coastline glows with soft sunrise colors reflected across a protected lagoon.This is the character of snorkeling in Sanur — gentle, intimate, and deeply connected to the rhythm of Balinese coastal life.
