What to expect

Step into Kyoto's sake culture for an evening of guided discovery.
Join us for an intimate sake tasting experience designed for curious travelers — no prior knowledge needed, just an open palate.
Over 90 minutes, you'll work through seven carefully chosen expressions of Japanese sake, each representing a different style or brewing tradition. We move in a natural arc — from the clean, floral elegance of a Daiginjo to the rich depth of an aged Jukusei-shu — so you can feel how dramatically sake can vary.
Along the way, you'll learn what actually makes sake different from what you've tasted before: the role of rice polishing, the difference between junmai and non-junmai, and why Kyoto's water and breweries produce something distinct.
Groups are kept small — up to 6 guests — to make sure there's always room for questions.
You'll leave knowing the names, the styles, and the stories behind what's in your glass — and with a clearer sense of where to look for good sake for the rest of your trip.
