This private hiking activity follows the official Fishermen’s Trail route from Odeceixe to Aljezur, giving travellers the chance to complete a real stage of one of Portugal’s most famous coastal walking trails.
The route is approximately 22–23 km and follows natural coastal and countryside terrain, including sandy paths, uneven ground, open sections and some ascents and descents. It is best suited to active travellers with reasonable fitness who want a rewarding full-day walk rather than a short sightseeing stroll.
Forever Algarve takes care of the logistics, including pickup, transfer to the start of the route, picnic lunch, water, snacks and collection at the finish.
What makes this activity special is the combination of an official Fishermen’s Trail stage, wild Vicentine Coast scenery and private point-to-point support — a more memorable way to experience the natural Algarve beyond the usual resort areas.

Meeting and pickup
We offer pickup from hotels, villas, apartments and agreed meeting points within the listed pickup areas. Please provide your accommodation name or full address when booking.
For private villas or apartments, please include any useful access details, such as gate codes, building names or nearby landmarks. If your accommodation is difficult to access by vehicle, we may arrange a nearby meeting point.
Pickup time will be confirmed after booking and may vary slightly depending on your location.
What to expect
After pickup from their accommodation or agreed meeting point, travellers will be transferred to Odeceixe, where they will receive a briefing on the route, terrain and expected timings before starting the walk. The hike follows the official Fishermen’s Trail markings through coastal scenery, sandy paths, open countryside and Atlantic viewpoints.
This is a proper point-to-point hiking activity, not a short sightseeing walk. Travellers should expect a long and rewarding day on natural terrain, with uneven ground, sandy sections, exposed areas and changing conditions. Along the way, there will be opportunities to pause for water, take photographs and enjoy the wild scenery of the west coast.
At the end of the hike, travellers will be collected in Aljezur and transferred back to their accommodation or agreed drop-off point.
