Planning a trip to Brașov? Then let's take a walk together.
We believe there's no better way to discover a city than on foot, with a local who calls it home. Your walking tour isn't about memorizing dates or rushing from one landmark to the next,it's about understanding the stories, people and traditions that have shaped Brașov into the city it is today.
What makes the tour a little different? We begin with the city's more recent past, exploring life during the communist era before gradually stepping further back in time, through the medieval fortifications and into the heart of old Brașov. By the end of the tour, you'll have experienced the city as one continuous story rather than a collection of monuments.
Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, we'd love to welcome you and help you experience Brașov the way locals do.
Modarom Building, at the entrance facing the old town/Republicii Street. Look for your guide holding our company name sign (and probably smiling already!)
Hidden in a quiet courtyard just across from the Black Church lies one of Brașov's most overlooked treasures. We'll step inside this beautiful Orthodox church and uncover the stories of the Balkan merchants who once made Brașov one of Transylvania's most important trading cities, while taking in its remarkable frescoes and peaceful atmosphere.
Discover Brașov's only original medieval city gate, built in 1559. We'll explore its unique fairy-tale towers, learn who was allowed to enter the city through it, and uncover the fascinating history of the Saxon fortifications that once protected Brașov.
The vibrant heart of Brașov for more than 600 years. Surrounded by colorful merchant houses and dominated by the old Council House, this lively square is where we'll uncover stories of medieval markets, public punishments, festivals, and everyday life inside the city walls.
Hidden in plain sight, this beautifully preserved façade still bears the name of a former shoe merchant in German. It's a small detail that most visitors miss, but one that opens a window into everyday life in medieval and later Saxon Brașov, when each shop proudly displayed its trade to customers from all over Europe.
We'll admire the Black Church from the outside as we uncover its history, secrets, and legends. After the tour, you're welcome to explore the interior at your own pace.
