Jimmy from Dartmouth's Halifax Harbour Stories Ferry Tour

1 hour 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

Stories from the best part of the best part of the world—Halifax and Dartmouth, by ferry. This is a small-group, story-first Halifax experience that uses the ferry as part of the tour (tickets included, no hassle). We’ll cross to Dartmouth and back for the best views in town, talk ferry and bridge history, the Halifax Explosion, and a few local myths and odd truths you won’t get from a plaque. It’s welcoming, funny, and conversational—more like walking with a local than being marched through a checklist.

What's Included

We use the Halifax–Dartmouth public ferry. Round-trip tickets are included—I’ll have them, so you don’t need to buy anything. The crossing is part of the tour.

We disembark at Alderney Landing and take a short, story-first walk along the Dartmouth waterfront. I’ll point out the library, farmers’ market area, parks/stage, and marina views, then share ferry/bridge history, the Halifax Explosion context, and what life is like on the “other side” of the harbour. If timing and lines cooperate, we can do an optional quick coffee stop; either way you’ll leave with tailored local recommendations for places to eat, drink, and explore in Dartmouth.
