Pickup is available from hotels, lodges, residences, and agreed meeting points. Please provide your exact accommodation or pickup location when booking. Your confirmed pickup time will be communicated in advance, and we recommend being ready 10–15 minutes before the scheduled time. For activities outside Kigali, pickup times may vary depending on your location and the distance to the activity. If needed, travelers may leave luggage securely at their hotel before departure. Your driver or guide will meet you at the agreed pickup point and may contact you by phone if necessary.

What to expect

Escape Kigali for a 2-day immersion into one of Africa's great conservation success stories. Depart Kigali in the morning with a coffee and snack stop en route, then visit the Akagera Community Center to see firsthand how local farming and conservation projects are helping protect the park. After check-in and lunch at the park reception, set off on an afternoon game drive from the southern to northern sectors, tracking the Big Five — elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, and leopard — alongside giraffes, zebras, antelope, and prolific birdlife. Spend the night at Karenge Bush Camp with dinner included. Rise early on day two for a nocturnal wildlife drive in search of night-active species, then return for breakfast before checkout and drop-off in Kigali or at your hotel.
