You can have a tranquil, calm and peaceful experience of Japan's early capital. When Buddhism was spreading throughout Japan. We use electric bicycles and take time to see what life was like.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

Take the Kintetsu line train to Yamato Saidaiji. There is a "Family Mart" convenience store at the South Exit. Go through the South Exit ticket gates, and on the wall opposite you will meet your guide. Your guide will be holding a large 'Nara Bike Tours' logo sign and a sign saying 'Wayne'.

    You will see amazing recreations of ancient Japanese life. There is also a free museum app that is available in 11 languages!

    You can enter the Excavation Site Exhibition Hall and see huge excavation sites with many archaeological features as they were originally found. There are several explanations showing how the buildings changed over many years.

    You will have an amazing opportunity to visit a working historic Buddhist temple! Founded by the Empress Komyo in 745. It is said that she washed the dirt off a thousand people afflicted with illness in the Karafuro bathhouse.
