Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Meet your guide outside the main entrance of the building.
My guests will hear the history of one of America's largest urban forest. I will talk about one of Portland's most notorious settlers. We will stop at the park's oldest tree, and I will talk about the forest underneath our feet. Then on to Witch's Castle which was a park shelter before a legacy of a typhoon tore it apart.
A historical tour of the Slabtown neighborhood that includes a talk about the Lewis and Clark Centennial World's Fair. Then we will enjoy a breakfast roll at Brewer's Bakery. Then a talk about the world's second largest log cabin. Then the hike. Afterwards, we stop at Friendship Kitchen for a Vietnamese/Singaporean appetizers. This is followed by a walk down Thurman Street to the Nob Hill Food Pod where we will enjoy a sandwich from Farmer and the Beast. This is followed by an assortment of pastries from St. Honore's Bakery.
